My art practice has been evolving for more than forty years. Initially inspired by the avant-garde movements of the 1960s, I was later drawn to conceptual art, which challenged traditional ideas of form and aesthetics and led me to question their relevance.

I grew up in southern Indiana and like a lot of kids, I imagined all kinds of futures. When I was about eight, I remember thinking I either wanted to be an auto mechanic—my dad was a shop teacher, though I didn’t know anything about auto mechanics—or I wanted to be president of the United States. Those were the two things in my head.

Hello! I’m Molly! I love to photograph people. This includes crisp, clean portraits, along with artsy lifestyle photos and candids. Editing styles are hard to describe, but I keep coming back to words like “gooey” and “rich.” I enjoy meeting you at your favorite places so that your session is special and meaningful to you. I am a super laid back person, so I always hope to make you feel comfortable and not rushed. I just want everyone to have a good experience while capturing moments in photos. I feel so honored to get to do that.

I hope to use the bookstore to promote local authors and host book signings. Since opening, the reception from the community has been overwhelmingly positive. One of the local high school students gave me the best compliment ever when she said she’s never going to Barnes and Noble again!

I come from a family of artists, and I always admired what they did. As a child, I was drawn to creating things myself. I grew up in the country, and around the age of 8 or 9, I spent a lot of time alone. I was the youngest sibling, and my brothers and sisters were much older than me. My main companion was our German Shepherd,

We grow happy pigs.
How do we do that?
We provide them with a low-stress environment where they are pastured outside 365 days a year, have access to housing, fresh water, BIG wallows of mud, love, patience, and good feed. Our main goal is to provide our community with responsibly-raised food so we chose specific breeds that we knew would flourish in our area.

I’ve loved a melody a long while, born into a musical family. I’ve learned it’s not for everyone, but it is for me. Overall, it’s easy to share, and in many occasions add a joy.
Though in all that, I realize my biggest creative outlet would be writing.

For me, making maple syrup isn’t about profit—it’s about rhythm, place, and tradition. What began over two decades ago with a few taps for curiosity’s sake has grown into a seasonal ritual rooted in the land I call home.
