connecting us to our past
Farming is a personal challenge. Anything’s possible, it’s just a matter of how much energy and time you can put into it. Can you keep going for that other hour, even in that rainy, soggy, weather. What keeps you going and motivated is holding the end product in mind.
Polish Farmer is a small farm operated out of Moose Lake, Minnesota. We provide nutritionally dense, chemical-free, heirloom dry beans, along with other seasonal produce. Fresh heirloom beans offer superb flavor, natural beauty, and simple prep; all the while connecting us to our past.
dedication to sustainability
Building into my own operation was a long time in the making, working at six different organic farms over the course of nine years. An enthusiastic round of applause is due to all the busy farmers who make time to train doe-eyed kids like myself- it takes a lot of energy and patience and we would not have as many next generation farmers without that effort.
Here at Polish Farmer, I put those years of training to use and practice methods that are sustainable and work with the Earth’s ecosystem. I also practice seed saving to develop a seed bank that is more adapted and resilient to the area. While the farm grows, a dedication to sustainability and respect for all living things will continue to be at the center of the work I do. So get back to your roots, enjoy a delicious meal and join the Polka!
