Arna Rennan shares stories with compelling melodies. Sometimes they are ballads from the middle ages, broadsides or dance tunes. She accompanies herself on the langeleik. In addition to growing up with musical tradition, she lived in Norway many years and studied at the Institute of Folk Culture in Rauland, Telemark. Her most recent CD’s include a collaboration with Loretta Kelley called Treasures Left Behind and another with ballads from the middle ages called Rescued Treasures together with Georganne Hunter. Arna also hosts Nordic Roots Music on Two Harbors Community Radio that can be streamed on KTWH.org
