Historic Barns of Carlton County

Darlene Seelos, chair of the Barn Photography Committee of the Carlton County Historical Society, and CCHS member Jill Dalbacka will describe the documentation of historic barns in the county. Their presentation will address the local history of agriculture, architecture, and immigrants. The history of barn quilts and their place in folk art will also be discussed, as will the plans to develop a barn quilt trail.

The program will be held at Oldenburg House in Carlton on Thursday, April 4, 2019, from 6 to 9 p.m., during their weekly Magnolia Salon event. The event is free, but a $5 donation is appreciated.
