Welcome Introduction
Now in its seventh year, the Art Roundabout has become a beloved event that brings the community together. In early 2026, Kris Nelson—art educator and founder of the Art Roundabout in 2019—approached OACC with a request to take over the organization of this annual event. In keeping with our mission, we enthusiastically said yes and are excited to carry on its wonderful tradition.
It's now a 12 hour event

The Art Roundabout and the opening of the Moose Lake Farmers Market have traditionally taken place on the first Saturday in May. This year, the Thunder Film Festival at the Tribal and Community College was also scheduled for May 2. Recognizing the opportunity, OACC sought strategic partnerships with both the Farmers Market and the Thunder Film Festival to broaden the reach and impact of all three events.
At its core, OACC is about building bridges—crossing perceived divides through cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration. This spirit is central to everything we do. It is our hope that the Art Roundabout, along with the broader framework OACC is creating, will continue to grow and strengthen in the years ahead, becoming an enduring and meaningful part of our community’s cultural fabric.
